It was love at first sight…
A charmingly quirky 120 year old building, in a little hamlet with an old mill, a theatre, two waterfalls, a pond and a river. Two growers of organic heirloom veggies within walking distance, a farm raising cattle, Black River Cheese Factory, oh, and Long Dog Winery just down the road. The artwork in the Bistro is supplied by FAD and the stained glass by Pete’s Stained Glass, both in Prince Edward County. Where else could we find anything like this!
We work hard to rise to the occasion, cooking small scale, sourcing locally and letting our menu reflect the changing seasons.
In 2008 we won one of the coveted Taste Awards. In 2009, we were named tourism/hospitality business of the year.
Reading words like “charming”, “unique”, “hidden gem”, “will recommend” and most of all “will be back” in our guest book make us proud and happy.
We believe we have the most intimate, romantic restaurant around. We invite you to come and see for yourselves!
